In the clean room design specifications GB50073-2001 in the clean room to the three states to do the following definition:

Empty state as-built

The facility has been built and all power is switched on and running, but no production equipment, materials and personnel.

Static at-rest

Facilities have been built, production equipment has been installed, according to the owner and the craft agreed to run the state, but no production staff.

Dynamic operational

The facility has a defined state of operation, with the presence of the prescribed personnel and working in an agreed state.


The cleanroom testing phase is defined in ISO 14644 as follows:

Detection of empty clean room - Installation qualificafion (IQ)

The most common applications for PortaFab's laminated sandwich panels are in the construction industry. Used as walls, floors, partitions, or coverings, laminated panels can be designed for almost any purpose.

In the production of sandwich panels the use of different technologies during the application of the adhesive and the use of a multitude of materials or material combinations calls for very specific requirements for adhesives. To support you in your individual production process by selecting the right adhesive, we have developed numerous systems with various properties when it comes to viscosity, thixotropy, processing and pressing times.

A panel formed by bonding two thin facings to a thick, and usually lightweight, core. Typical facing materials include plywood, single veneers, hardboard, plastics, laminates, and various metals, such as aluminum or stainless steel. Typical core materials include plastic foam sheets, rubber, and formed honeycombs of paper, metal, or cloth.

Walls of large industrial and refrigerated buildings, cold stores, warehouses, exhibition and sports halls, schools and other large buildings are best constructed from components which provide thermal insulation while also meeting other technical requirements such as stability, inexpensive assembly, freedom from maintenance and easy disassembly and reconstruction.

A prefabricated panel that is a layered composite formed by attaching two thin facings to a thicker core. An example is precast concrete panels, which consist of two layers of concrete separated by a nonstructural insulating core.
